About A H Panels
A H Panels was founded by A H Spares in 2003 to establish a professional sheet metal manufacturer, solely focusing on producing high-quality, precise reproduction body panels for the Austin Healey marque.
Originally opening in a small workshop in Leicestershire, A H Panels began manufacturing aluminium and steel body panels from tooling based on original Austin Healey parts.
Twenty years later, A H Panels is now located at larger premises in Coventry and employs over 10 skilled welders and craftsmen with 240 years' experience in sheet metal work and manufacturing between them.
Timeline:
1972
A H Spares founded by former Donald Healey Motor Company Parts Manager, Fred Draper after buying the remaining Austin Healey parts stock when production of the marque ceased after the dealership was not renewed by the BMC.
2003
A H Panels started by A H Spares owners Bob Hill and Jonathan Hill with a vision to manufacture accurate Austin Healey body panels in aluminium and steel.
2012
A H Panels is relocated to larger premises in Southam next to A H Spares and investment is made for more tools and to employ more skilled sheet metal workers and welders.
2018
A H Panels expands and is relocated to larger premises in Coventry with additional skilled craftsmen and welders employed to manufacture low volume production runs.
