Front flexible brake hose manufactured to Girling specification for Austin Healey BN7, BT7, BJ7 and BJ8 models. This hose connects the chassis brake pipe to the front caliper assembly while allowing full suspension and steering movement without stressing the hydraulic system.
Fits: BN7 & BT7 (1959–1961), BJ7 (1962–1963), BJ8 Phase 1 & Phase 2 (1964–1968) fitted with Girling brake systems.
Excludes: BN1-BN6 models and any vehicle retaining Lockheed-type components. Not suitable for non-standard caliper upgrades unless the original Girling hose specification is retained.
Where previous restorations have altered calipers or brake lines, confirm thread type before ordering.
Where banjo fittings are used, order the required copper brake hose washers separately.
The braking system must be fully bled after installation and checked under pedal pressure. For one-person brake or clutch bleeding, the Gunson’s Eezibleed kit provides controlled pressure bleeding.
Brake hoses should be replaced in axle pairs to maintain balanced braking response.
This hose follows original Girling routing and fitting specification for later Big Healey models, ensuring correct steering clearance and suspension articulation.
Yes, provided the car retains the original Girling braking system.
