Preserve the vintage look of your car engine whilst enjoying modern performance with the CSI-Ignition Distributor. Hidden in a classic Lucas distributor housing, it seamlessly blends with your car’s engine bay. Experience a swift ignition system once you swap out your traditional one, and realise that the true power lies within once you remove the distributor cap. Built to perfection and suits perfectly for your vintage ride.
Bid farewell to old-style points, condensers and mechanical advances, as our maintenance-free ignition system will ensure trouble-free rides with its no-point adjustment feature. Boasting easier starts, smoother runs, enhanced torque and power, your vehicle will offer impressive performance while minimising fuel consumption and emissions. What’s more, it abolishes issues like point bounce and inaccuracies of mechanical timing, guaranteeing perfect ignition timing throughout all RPM ranges.
The CSI-Ignition distributor boasts 16 optimised ignition curves that can be effortlessly interchanged to tailor timing to your car's engine and fuel specifications. Modified engines can benefit from alternative advance curves that are also available. A rotary switch and flashing LED indicator, both concealed under the distributor cap, enable easy curve selection using a screwdriver. As the CSI-Ignition distributor employs the appropriate distributor body for the job, it can be directly replaced.
With Vacuum Unit:
This is an optimal choice for standard and slightly modified engines that utilise vacuum advance, specifically of the push-on variety. Furthermore, this is ideal for automobiles that operate using SU carburettors.
No Vacuum Unit:
This implementation is appropriate for engines that lack a vacuum advance unit and are equipped with Weber carburettors, particularly those that are finely tuned. This configuration is advantageous as it can often produce better power and torque outcomes, owing to the reduced likelihood of detonation under partial load due to the lack of a vacuum unit.
As a distributor based in the UK, we provide an extensive selection of electronic distributors from CSI, specifically catered to the Austin Healey and Sprite/Midget brands.
