Light Unit (H4 bulb type) - LHD

Designed for left-hand-drive Big Healeys, this replaceable-bulb headlamp unit fits Austin Healey 100, 100/6 and 3000 models from BN1 through BJ8. It is suitable for replacing a damaged, deteriorated or incorrect headlamp unit and allows a choice between a standard bulb and a quartz-halogen alternative. Two light units are used per vehicle.

Choose Standard or Halogen Lighting

Two bulb options are available separately for this light unit. For a standard bulb arrangement, use LTG226, the Type 410 spade-fitting headlamp bulb. For a quartz-halogen option, use LTG229A, which has an H4 round-base fitting.

The separate-bulb design also means that a failed bulb can be replaced without replacing the complete headlamp light unit.

Important: This is the left-hand-drive version. For a right-hand-drive car, use the corresponding RHD headlamp unit. This version does not incorporate a pilot lamp.

When Should the Headlamp Unit Be Replaced?

Replacement is appropriate if the existing lens is cracked or chipped, the reflector has deteriorated, or the car has been fitted with a headlamp unit intended for a different driving configuration. Using the correct LHD version also removes uncertainty when replacing mismatched or unidentified units already fitted to the car.
