This grease cap extractor tool is made for Austin Healey BN1 to BJ8 models fitted with wire wheels. It screws onto the threaded wire-wheel grease cap and draws it from the deep recess in the front hub, providing controlled removal during hub or wheel-bearing maintenance.
Remove the nut and washer, then screw the extractor bar onto the grease cap. Refit the washer and nut, hold the machined flat with an adjustable spanner and tighten the nut clockwise with a ¾-inch ring spanner to draw the cap upwards.
If corrosion is restricting the cap, clean the upper section of the hub inner wall with a Scotch-Brite pad and suitable release agent before use.

This tool is for removing the grease cap only. It cannot be used to refit the cap, which must be carefully tapped back into the hub.
A ¾-inch ring spanner and an adjustable spanner are required. A suitable release agent and Scotch-Brite pad may also be needed if corrosion is restricting the cap.
