2019: A Year in Summary
As we wrap up for the Christmas break and look forward to the New Year, let's take a look at some of the highlights of 2019.
Southam Retro Revival
We were delighted to sponsor the Southam Retro Revival back in June where we brought three of our Big Healeys and our little Frogeye to join the large collection of classic and vintage cars in the rain in the Southam town centre.
Classic Motor Shows
As always we attended the three main events in Europe, including the Retro Mobile, Techno Classica Essen and the NEC Classic Motor Show. We're already booked for the next Retro Mobile in February 2020!
Open All Hours
On 18th September, Steve Ormerod was in a bit of a fix when the brand new fuel pump he installed in his Austin Healey 3000 failed! Not ideal at the best of times when a new part turns out to be faulty but the timing couldn't be worse as Steve was due to appear at a charity event to give rides to disabled children!
Delivering New Prototype
We dropped off a complete inner body chassis assembly prototype to Bill Rawles Classic Cars!
It started off as a project for us to check and improve the fit of our Austin Healey inner body panels we make at A. H. Panels but it's quickly grown into a complete inner body substructure prototype that Bill Rawles will test for us.
Second-Hand Austin Healey Parts
We recently received from the US a literal container load of second-hand Austin Healey parts and spares to add to our collection!
Brand new parts for your Big Healey or Sprite are great but occasionally you may find some bargains or rare parts in the second-hand market; well, we can help you with that too. READ MORE
Ground Breaking New Cylinder Heads
Our new Austin Healey 100 cast iron and alloy cylinder heads were launched at the beginning of 2019 after three years in development!
CAD designed and CNC-machined for increased precision means our cylinder heads are vastly more efficient than any alternative on the market. READ MORE
Come Rain or Shine! Austin Healey Door Glass
We teamed up with Pilkington Classics to produce Triplex door glass for the Austin Healey BJ7 & BJ8!
Available for the first time since the Austin Healey went of production, these door glass pieces come with the correct period Triplex markings; perfect for any concours restoration! READ MORE
Stronger & Better! Austin Healey Kevlar Hoses
Reduce your repairs and keep your fluids flowing for longer!
The heater hoses are one of the more perishable parts in the engine bay of your Austin Healey and replacing them is sometimes messy and isn't always a quick job.
Don't worry, our Austin Healey hoses are made from Kevlar reinforced rubber and will cope with the temperature fluctuations better than the standard hoses! READ MORE
From everyone here at A.H. Spares, have a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! See you in the new decade!
