- UK Austin Healey specialist connects with 50 Australian club members with ‘virtual’ tour for first time

UK-based A H Spares has held its first ever virtual tour of its premises, hosting 50 Australian Austin Healey enthusiasts on the other side of the world.
Despite being nearly 10,000 miles away, the members of the Austin Healey Owners Club of Qld Australia were shown around the 10,000 square feet premises in the heart of England.
Highlights included seeing inside the modernised in-house trim shop where highly qualified machinists produce bespoke car seat covers, carpet sets and other upholstery, a tour of the stores area which houses the largest stock of Austin Healey spare parts on the planet, plus the front-of-house showroom complete with automotive memorabilia.
It was such a success that other Austin Healey groups around the world, and in the UK, are being invited to connect with the largest supplier of Healey spare parts on the planet, so they too can share the experience.
Rebecca Kemsley, director at A H Spares, said: “We were thrilled to be asked by the Austin Healey Owners Club of Qld Australia to be its online guest speaker to address its members and explain how we can help them enjoy their pride and joy.
"However, we also thought it would be a real benefit to their members if we hosted a virtual tour of our premises so they could see how we operate and how we can support them.
"The feedback was very positive and it opens up a world of opportunity to do the same with other Austin Healey clubs closer to home and further away."
From humble beginnings in 1972, A H Spares, now in its third family generation, has supplied spare parts to a growing number of Austin Healey enthusiasts both in the UK and, increasingly, overseas.
The iconic British marque has always been popular in Australia and A H Spares has shipped some 240 parcels to the country over the last year.
Rebecca added: "Fred Draper, my great uncle, started A H Spares five decades ago. I’m sure he’d be amazed that we can now host virtual tours of our premises with members half a world away and hopefully pass on some of our knowledge and expertise."
