1960 Big Healey, 3000 MK1, BN7
Location: Australia, Bonnells Bay
Another superbly maintained 1960 MK1, this example is a rare find for Healey enthusiasts. One of only 157 two-seaters of its kind, this Healey was registered in the UK. It has a BJ7 engine updated to BJ8 carburettors in 1972, reconditioned in 2016, and a smooth 4-speed gearbox with overdrive.
In 2021, the engine was fully rebuilt, receiving new pistons, bearings, and other key parts. Recent improvements include a recored radiator, new battery, and updated suspension and steering parts. The odometer indicates 37,188 miles, but its travels span across the UK, Ireland, Sweden, and Australia. Originally white, it now has a Seamist Green exterior with a few blemishes and a pristine interior of black and white leather.
Equipped with Dunlop wire wheels and contemporary lighting, it retains its original parts for restoration enthusiasts. It's a standout project opportunity for collectors, currently registered under Club Rego in Australia.
