CapeSport adjustable top trunnion kit for Austin Healey BN1 to BJ8 models, designed to provide adjustable front wheel camber within the Healey upper trunnion suspension layout.
The kit allows the camber on each front wheel to be adjusted individually, making it possible to match the settings from side to side or introduce negative camber where required.
Eccentric trunnion pins rotate within brass bushes. Turning each pin moves the corresponding upper trunnion inward or outward, changing the camber angle of that front wheel.
Once the kit has been installed, the camber setting can be altered without dismantling the front suspension each time an adjustment is required.
Suitable for Austin Healey BN1, BN2, BN4, BN6, BN7, BT7, BJ7 and BJ8 models.
Camber should be measured on both front wheels when setting the trunnions. The adjustment can be used to achieve matching settings from side to side or to introduce negative camber, which can help improve cornering grip.
Camber and toe are separate wheel alignment settings. This kit adjusts camber at the upper trunnions, so front toe should also be checked as part of the completed wheel alignment.
The available adjustment can accommodate normal differences in camber, but it should not be relied upon to correct significant chassis misalignment.
